Subgroup Methodology and Differences

Subgroup Methodology

Program Area: Using the grantee list provided by Johnson Scholarship Foundation, CEP tagged grantees based on program area.

Subgroup Differences

CEP conducts statistical analysis on subgroups of 10 or larger. Ratings described as "significantly" higher or lower reflect statistically significant differences at a P-value less than or equal to 0.1.

When subgroup sizes are smaller than 10, differences are reported as trends. Ratings described as "trend" higher or lower reflect a 0.3-point difference larger or smaller than the overall average rating.

Program Area: No group consistently rates significantly higher or lower than others when grantees are segmented by program area. However, ratings from grantees in the Indigenous Peoples or Disability program trend lower on some measures compared to grantees in the other two program areas.
