Stacked Bars: Each section of the bar represents the average proportion of respondents in each response category.
Box and Whisker Plots: In each chart, the minimum value is the tick mark at the bottom of the boxplot (i.e., the proportion of staff or board members in a given category at the organization with the lowest proportion.) The lower line of the colored box is the first quartile and the line in center of the box is the median (i.e., the proportion of staff or board members in a given category at the organization at which half of organizations have higher and half have lower proportions). The upper part of the box is the third quartile and the tick mark at the top of the boxplot represents the maximum value (i.e., the proportion of staff or board members in a given category at the organization with the highest proportion.).
Scatter Plots: Each marker (dot or square) on these charts represents a single grantee organization using grantee provided numbers for race/ethnicity and gender. Each dot is placed on the graph in the place corresponding to the proportions reported by grantees for the relevant response categories. In places where two grantee organizations fall on the same place in the plot, the markers overlap. You can interact with the graph by zooming in and dragging within the parameters of the chart.
